If you already know the fundamentals of printing with a gel plate, you know that printing this way is in the realm of magic. This workshop will expand your knowledge of the limitless possibilities.

Advanced methods of working with stencils, masks and collagraph plates; resist/transfer printing using a laser print or magazine page; mark-making directly onto the plate with marker pens; building a composition and registering multiple layers; rescuing your ‘failed’ prints – these are some of the processes we will cover. Learn how to take your gel plate printing up a notch!

Students will need to bring a gel plate or two, paper, brayer, paints and printed images — a detailed supply list will be provided.

If we have a last minute cancellation, our Workshop Coordinator will contact you. If you still want to attend, you will pay the registration fees directly to the person who is cancelling their registration. FCA Calgary does not refund demonstration or workshop fees, or manage the transfer of payment between individuals.
