This workshop is for you …  if you have an interest in experiencing the “joy” of putting brush marks on canvas  … without labouring over drawing and measuring.

In this two-day, simplified, exciting but challenging milieu, you will be guided through the process of painting the clothed figure from life.

Learn to “look for beauty”. Tell a story in distinctive brushwork, edges and brave paint application, as we focus on putting our lovely model into her ‘space’ on our canvases.

Bobbi’s philosophy is to “keep-ideas-simple – while making bold statements”.  She will share knowledge from my extensive professional artist’s tool-box as you’re guided to discover “possibilities” which will take your work to a new level.

You will walk the steps of creating your visual concept through small value studies, then joyfully apply paint to canvas to realize your idea in a larger format.  All the elements of a strong painting will be emphasized; from creating a concept, to abstract design, shape, value, edges, colour, paint quality and more.

This promises to be a fun and creative 2-day-workshop. SIMPLE … will be the operative word of the day!

Look for lots of personal guidance throughout.  To kick off the weekend, Bobbi will demonstrate an oil painting on Friday evening and there’ll be lots of hands on  personal guidance during this eye opening workshop.
